The successful candidate will have experience or be willing to learn to provide assistance to attorney during all phases of the litigation process and maintain consistent support in the office.
Draft pleadings, motions and briefs Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc), ensure deadlines are not missed, and counsel is apprised of all communications Maintain pleadings, indexes, filing systems Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, and pleadings Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests SKILLS Proven working experience as a legal assistant or the ability to learn and multi-task Applicable knowledge of motions, court rules and procedures, practices.
Including an understanding of how to look up and follow court rules, and file documents with the Court.
Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail.
Highly capable at using a computer and multiple computer programs Job Type:
